Uganda's Virunga Volcanoes Voted by National Geographic as one of the best in the World

The Virunga Massif was voted by National Geographic as one of the most desired places by tourists. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in South West Uganda is part of the Virunga Massif and is home to three of the volcanic mountains in the Massif. National Geographic in its travel section carried the “Best of the World 2012” feature in which the Virunga volcanoes were included.

The Virunga volcanoes are listed among places in Iceland, Thailand, Germany, Croatia, Colombia, Spain, US, Canada, Oman, UK, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Greece, Northern Ireland, New Zealand, Panama, Peru and Mongolia

ASGP

The Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP), constituted as a consultative body of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, seeks to facilitate personal contacts between holders of the office of Secretary General in any parliamentary assembly, whether such assembly is a member of the IPU or not. ASGP membership is thus independent of the IPU.
